my friend let me go back and use his mlb.tv to view his appearance, and for those interested parties, he didn't look bad.

mcewing botched a double-play that should have gotten him out of the inning, and the hits were broken-bat bloops. the kid's got serious stuff, lots n' loads of movement...needs to be more aggressive with the strike zone, because he appears to be too enamoured of painting the corners.

granted, they had to pull him, but he's special, and i think he'll be back sooner than later.

Yep he was topping out at 97-98 on the gun according to our Local Broadcasters.
