If he's out for an extended ammount of time, then I'd bet you'll see Brower inserted into the closers role. He and Eyre have been the only decent arms in this pen, but Eyre is LH. Herges has been bad recently.
I'd also bet that they'd call up one of Foppert, Aardsma, or Valdez. Aardsma was recently moved into the starting rotation in order to work on his off speed pitches, and he's been dominating. I don't think he's even allowed a run. He had a perfect game going into the 6th inning in his last start. However, I do not believe that Aardsma, Valdez, or Foppert would be ready for something like that, which is why I surmise Brower would get the first look as a replacement.

Where did you hear that? I watch all the giants games and they didn't know what it was, except that it was his hammy.
On TV it looked like he just cramped up.
The "post game wrap" on KNBR. They said that the Giants are calling it a "strain" and that tests will be run tommorow.
AP wrote:SAN FRANCISCO — Armando Benitez strained his right hamstring while recording the final out of the San Francisco Giants' 6-5 victory over the San Diego Padres on Tuesday night.
"We don't know too much now," Giants head trainer Stan Conte said. "It's hard to say but it could be a couple of days or it could be a couple of weeks. I don't really want to speculate."
Benitez is to undergo an MRI on Wednesday morning to determine the extent of the injury.
Benitez broke to cover first base when Geoff Blum hit a sharp grounder down the line. J.T. Snow dove to his left to snare the ball and flipped to Benitez, who began to favor the hamstring a step or two before reaching the base.
"That's definitely disappointing," Giants starter Jason Schmidt said. "He's just getting into his groove. You hate to see a setback like that. He still made the play, so you tip your hat to him."
Giants manager Felipe Alou did not want to discuss the possible extended absence of Benitez, or who would replace him, until he knew something.
"It's going to take a couple of guys maybe," Alou said. "I didn't want to bring Benitez in in the eighth. It took him a while to get loose."
