Strained abdominal for Izzy I guess? Doesn't sound too bad but what do I know. So the question of the night is: Reitsma or Tavarez?

That's what I would guess too...but did you hear this somewhere?

I grabbed A. Sisco and Reitsma. I'm hoping Sisco gets a shot at the KC job. And I have Kolb, so I grabbed Reitsma just in case. Tavarez has a terrible ERA and WHIP, I'll pass on him.

Tavarez isn't so hot so far this season, but in past year's he's been solid.

Jason Isringhausen was removed in the ninth tonight with a right abdominal injury. Randy Flores replaced him and got the save. If Izzy needs to miss some time, the Cardinals would use Julian Tavarez and Ray King in save situations.
15 day DL at most, if at all. My guess

He had a horrible April last year too, but found some way to turn it around. Nonetheless, I'm not too concerned seeing how he isn't going to be a long term player on this dude's roster...just enough to get a cheap save or two...or three

Tavarez had a bad first week this year, but has been chipping away at ERA since.
I picked him up, and when Izzy comes back Ill pick up Street, or the next closer flavor of the week.

Apr 27 Fox Sports Midwest reports St. Louis Cardinals manager Tony La Russa will install a closer-by-committee system with CL Jason Isringhausen out. RPs Julian Tavarez and Ray King are the favorites to close out games, but it will depend solely on situations.

I'd pick up Tavaras first, Kolb's going to be the closer atleast for the next couple weeks.
