what is Wellemeyer doing?

He seems to me to have the perfect makeup to close games.
Thoughts?

He'll get his chance the way Dusty Co. is dancing around the bullpen like a poor girl on a pole. The Farsnworth let-go will come back by the end of the season to bite them.

Besides, the way everyone else talks around here, Dusty is to blame for all sorrows including male pattern baldness. ;-)

i wish i knew what was going on with the cubs bullpen but from the cubs this was todd's line from mon:

Todd Wellemeyer gave up three runs on six hits over 4 1/3 innings for Triple-A Iowa on Monday. He walked six and struck out three.

The only thing i have aganist wellemeyer is that he does walk alot of guys, probably not the best of thing coming out of the bullpen. I would like to see Mitre come back up or who knows maybe Guzman or even Novoa. I'm keeping my fingers cross that they figure out something.

Wellemeyer hasn't been given a chance simply because his control sucks. Although with everyone else sucking he'll probably get a chance soon, although I wouldn't be surprised to see Remlinger close a few games even though he is a lefty.

Wellemeyer is defn not a closer. i wouldn't be surprised if they stick Dempster back there and put Mitre in the rotation, at least until JoBo gets a shot.

Borowski is coming back in around a week and 1/2 so what does it matter anyway? You should try focusing on the Braves, Cards, and soon to be open spot in Milwaukee once Turnbow stinks it up.
