I would look for Witasick or Herges to be the closer ... Witasick will be activated .. next week and it will take him a couple weeks to get his arm ready ... Herges has the job now ... and by the time they figure out who should be used in the 9th, Trevor will be back ..Of course they have to win games to save games .. Nagy was only brought up to soak up inning's ... Their starters are only giving them 4-5 inning's a night and the bullpen is taxed .. So in all geniusness, The Padres are going to have Jessie Orosco and Charles Nagy ...coming out of the bullpen .. No word on relpacing the sunflower seeds with Geritol® ... but I'll keep ya posted ..

Whoops, wrveres. Witasick was just transferred to the 60-day DL. The plot thickens... :-)

I thought Herges was the man too, but then I saw them bring him in for the 7th inning on Friday....I thought? That situation is so screwy. I guess with them winning only 13 so far it's not much to shake a stick at.

yep they sure did .. but you really should tell the whole story .. not just part of it ..

Padres transferred RHP Jay Witasick from the 15-day to the 60-day disabled list.
The Padres had considered bringing Witasick back next week, but they needed his 40-man roster spot. Expect Witasick to begin a rehab assignment next week.

meaning he will be avail at the beginning of the month .. But like i said.. Trevor will be back after the break .. hopefully .. like it really matters ..
