Simple fix for Rockies Pitching Woes?

I have a question for Rockies fans.

Seems like the team can't get any good pitchers to come play for them because of the HRs that fly out of the stadium.

Why don't they just push the outfield wall back to make it more reasonable.

Pitching is what wins championships. Seems like its such a simple fix. Why don't they do it?

pitchers don't want to pitch in Denver because they THINK they will pitch horrible. When they THINK they will, they usually do. If pitchers would just pitch to their capabilities, then there wouldn't be so many pitchers who fail in Denver. Look at Kim, he has pitched pretty well for Colorado and a 4.27 era for a Rockies pitcher is VERY respectable.

I think the Rocks finally learned their lesson on paying way too much on free agent pitchers. They have great offensive specs in the minors and their pitching specs have come along very nicely, they just need to keep building within the system, these kids are getting used to the altitude pitching in Colorado Springs and that then leads to success in Coors

Yea the pitchers down in the springs learn alot better

Its not the HRs that really kills the pitchers, its the size of the outfield. So many EBH and bloop hits.

Exactly build it bigger and there are way more hits. Build it smaller and there are more HR's.

pretty much they just have to deal with it.

its a great stadium btw so I don't want them to change it.

IMO they need fireballers because pitchers breaking pitches also don't break as much.

Fireballers and changeups and weird angles.

Defienetly. Sidearm pitchers seem to have very good success in Coors (Fuentes, Kim, Reed, etc).

I've heard someone suggest a dome. I don't think it would do much, any opinions?

Coors Field is a beautiful stadium...Watching baseball in a Dome would suck.

You have amazing sunset views of the rockies ... a Dome would be tragic.

They need sidearm fireballers

I agree I go to the games half the time just cause the stadium.. A dome would ruin it.. They just need to get some heat pitchers in here who won't care if thier era goes up a little.. I would think pitching here all the time would be an advantage but guess not..

I didn't suggest a dome, I said I've heard people suggest a dome. Personally I would hate a dome and there would really be no point of it at all.
