Zito.........he gone.

I just wanted to share the news that I finally dumped Zito. I tried to trade him for anyone, but absolutely no one was biting. So, he's gone, and man do I feel relieved!

I'd take him off the WW. He is a good second half pitcher. He will not pitch like his Cy Young year, but he should do better than 90% of the junk that it is on the WW from here forward.

Out of curiosity, who'd you dump him for?

unless you have a pretty stellar pitching staff I'd say that was a bad move, did you see his outing last night or just look at the final numbers, he threw 2 hit ball threw 6 innings with 1 walk and 4 k's, Macha left him out there after he threw over 100 pitches, he's a steal if he's on the WW

someone else can steal him then. Dating back to the beginning of last year, I have been listening to people talke about how he is still a good pitcher if he can just get his stuff together....after a year and a half...c'mon! I saw the line last night, and it's the same old story for Zito...pretty good outing but got roughed up over just one inning (or two). guess what though....this happens every game, so someonese else can have him and "wait for him to come around."

In the end, I dropped him to clear up space for Penny.

Agreed. But people here like to be the first to predict something... even if that means labeling someone washed up without all that much reasoning.

Even worse than dropping him is the fact you said "He gone" in the title. If you wanna copy a broadcaster, there are about 30 other better than Hawk.

Hawk is almost the Bill Walton of baseball, except he has the awesome cliche of "Hegone!" He's annoying as hell if you take him seriously, but if you just keep in mind that he's an absolute idiot, you learn to laugh at everything he says. In addition, his voice is nearly comedic. His clear White Sox bias makes everything even funnier.

I saw a lot of the White Sox on MLB TV last year. I learned to lmfao at Hawk Harelson.

This is also why I now very much enjoy Sunday Night Football. They're the Beavis and Butthead of commentators. I really hate Chris Berman, though. I love the NFL Draft and even then I was having trouble standing him on Day 1. His sad attempts to slap nicknames on EVERY DAMN player is absolutely sickening. Easily the worst commentator in the mainstream. Thank God that Suzy Kolber took over on Day 2...or else I would've thrown the remote at the TV in good time.

Definitely a good move then if you dropped him to clear room for Penny.
