How are the ChiSox winning???

Their offense is terrible and so is their bullpen.

On the other hand, everything is going against the poor A's.

The highest ERA of any of their starters is around 3.50.

The SP are pitching way over their heads and I think they are 9-1 in one run games or some crazy number like that.

They tend to score more runs in a game than their opponent.

there bullpen is nowhere near terrible, they have the best ranked bullpen in the AL and their points double the second best which is Minnesota, their starting pitching has been lights out, yes their offense has blown monkey chunks recently but their still winning, wait until Konerko, Dye and Rowand and Pierzynski for that matter start hitting, each is hitting well below their career average, once they start hitting they're only going to get better

i think you might be mistaking us with the devil rays. the sox pitching is the best in baseball right now? our offense is very deceptive. we have a very good combination of speed and clutch hitting. i admit it isnt clicking on all cylanders right now, but when it does, we will be even better.

get your facts straight ;-)
Vaughn: What's that sh*t on your chest?

Harris: Crisco, Bardol, Vagisil. Any one of them will give you another two to three inches drop on your curve ball.

^ That's good stuff.

Referring to my other post where I claimed they made the most favorable off-season moves of any team (I made this claim before the season started in that Yahoo/SF GM contest) in the entire league, their bullpen is far from bad, and has to be considered one of the better in the entire majors I think. (Cliff Politte, Hermanson, Marte, Vizcaino, Takatsu) Buehrle has always been a solid #1, Garcia a solid #2, and Garland, Duque, and Contreras have always had good stuff.

Offensively, Crede is realizing his potential FINALLY, Konerko has always been this good, Iguchi is an upgrade at 2B, and Pierzynski at C. Podsednik instead of Lee has changed the dynamic of their lineup and Rowand hasn't even started to hit yet.

It's April. We'll have to wait till June to see if the combination of good pitching and creative run scoring will hold up over the long haul. My bet is it won't and by early June the AL Central will be a tight pack.

Pitching usually triumphs in April in the AL Central cities of Cleveland, Chicago, Detroit when the weather is still chilly. The hitting will start to dominate by mid-May.
