I drafted him late because of his multiple position eligibility and hoping he would have a "coming of age" type year. So for, nothing but grief...he is just taking up space on my roster...Time to let go, or just keep him stashed away for a while??? I am thinking of dumping Cuddyer and Ibanez and taking a flier on a couple potential closers (Turnbow, Fox, Burgos???)...I need saves bad!
EDIT: Well, after reading the Fox thread, I guess I can scratch him off the short list!
12 team, 5x5 Roto league
Estrada (C)
Green (1b/OF)
Loretta, Mark (2b)
Tejada (SS)
Beltre (3B)
Guillen, Jose (OF)
Jones, Andruw (OF)
Matsui (OF)
Jones, Chipper (DH/OF/3b)
I drafted him late for the same reason and cut him about a week ago. No one in their right mind should take him off the WW at this time. So IF he starts to he back up, just be quick to grab him off the FA list. I say all this especially if you need help in a particular catagory.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
Same here. Last week.
He's batting low in the order and scuffling, to boot. I grabbed Freel, who somebody in my league dropped back when Jimenez still had the starting gig at 2b.
If you need the saves, gamble on Turnbow. (I'd stay away from that whole Cubs mess until Borowski gets back).
same situation here. i cut him late last week. i was really hoping he'd finally have that big year, especially since he was eligible at 4 positions...oh well.

Dropped Cuddyer two weeks ago. He is showing nothing. Not evena hint.
On another note, is Freel the new 2nd baseman for Cincy?

No, Jimenez and Freel are sharing the spot. Honestly I don't think either one is worthy of a roster spot in standard leagues.
