Edgar is hot of late...so im willing to pick him up because my team is weak in hitting...what do u think is expected of him this year? what do u think his stats will be like at the end of the season?

Assuming he plays 140 games (not likely),

.320 BA
30 HR
80 Runs
110 Rbis
0 Steals

His OPS has not been this high since 1995. I doubt he will keep it up, but his overall numbers should remain solid.

Bottom line is he has one of the sweetest swings in baseball, and it doesn't appear to be fading with age. The old man will be productive as long as he stays healthy. Of course, its only a matter of time before he wears a cathater under his uni, but even then he would probably be good for 25-90 ;-D

O yea, definitely.
I picked him up just last week and already he's given me 4 HRs, 5 R, 10 RBI's and a .348 avg. As long as you have the UTIL slot open, he's a sure bet.

He's homered in each of the last 3 games. I can't believe he's availiable in any league. One of the best hitters in baseball.

if edgar can stay healhy, shoot, this is how he can hit. whatever the case, he was available on waivers in my 7x7 league, and he's just been hitting the ball real well. who knows? maybe he can hit .335/25/100 if he doesn't fall apart somewhere along the way.

but hey, the guy could knock in 130, you never know =D

if you can trade for him somewhat cheaply, go for it.
