i'm lookin at a tailspin of .250/14/50
he may get hot later, as he is and always was a streaky player, but i'll take a more consistent estrada any day.
Yes consistent Estrada is looking mighty purty anchoring my bench.
Maine has a good swing for a pitcher but on anything that moves, he has no chance. And if it's a fastball, it has to be up in the zone. Basically, the pitcher has to hit his bat. - Mike Pelfrey
I'd love to be optimistic and say he will return to form.......so I will, In this line up, i think he'll get around 80 rbi (if he stays healthy and in the cleanup spot).

............hey, a guy can dream can't he?
I wont count him out yet. The guy has been taking some good rips lately. At this stage of his career he is a streak hitter but a catcher with better offensive numbers than him this year will be hard to find. I project .280 30hr 85 rbi. Not great to piazza standarb but better than most catchers.
Remember the only reason he did not have a monster year last year was his injury
He looked pretty good tonight. 3-4, R, RBI. Raised his BA about 30 points.

ridiculous that he would be dropped in an nl only league...he leads the nl in rbi among catchers, bats cleanup behind three guys who should be able to score a bunch of runs, and is slumping batting averagewise...it's way to early to give up on piazza, unless for some reason you have an elite catcher on your roster
