is he just old and washed up or what. he was still projected to be one of the top catchers this year and he's just not getting the job done. any Met fans out there that have any thoughts on your one time leader??

Like most catchers in their mid-30's, he is fading fast. He really should be a DH in the AL somewhere at this point.

Totally agree. As far as numbers decent 1st half and again terrible 2nd half. 1st .280 10 hr 40-50 RBI 2nd DL stint likely .240 5 hr 30-49 RBI. Him was highly overrated IMO.

I just picked Estrada up to play when Piazza doesn't. If Johnny heats up, I would consider it as well.

My thoughts exactly, as soon as I see Estrada have a couple of multi hit games, it's going to make my decision for me. As of right now, it doesn't do me much good to have either of them.

Wow, NL Only? How many teams? He has to be one of the best 12 catchers in the NL.

i don't buy a return to form either.
i'm lookin at a tailspin of .250/14/50
he may get hot later, as he is and always was a streaky player, but i'll take a more consistent estrada any day.
