Both Lane and Taveras have been playing very well this season trying to earn a starting spot in the OF. What are your guy's opinion's on who should/will be in the OF when Berkman make's his debut?

Lane - Taveras - Berkman across the outfield would be my guess.

what? you don't like lead-off men with OBP <.300 ?
Give a man a fish and he'll eat for a day, teach a man to fish and he'll drown because you forgot to teach him to swim.

a few days old, but just thought this was interesting by Houston's correspondent on Willy Taveras. The part about the marketing material is probably the most likely proof that he will be around. i don't live in houston so I would be curious if those who live there/go to games have seen any of this marketing material...
More importantly, he’s clearly roster worthy, even after Berk returns. The fans like him, and the squad has developed marketing materials promoting him -- signs he's going to stick around. His swing is smooth, and he shows good aggressiveness on hitter’s pitches. Scrappy Garner has reiterated that he’ll likely remain at the 8-hole, but this fan is not a buyer over the long haul. Too often will his blazing speed be stifled by the pitcher hacking behind him. I’d look for Everett and Taveras’ batting-order roles to shift before end of May. Not only will Willy stick, he’ll likely match the league leaders in steals -- this kid runs like the hurricane winds.
