Roy Halladay, how good is he?

Postby Machines3 » Thu May 15, 2003 7:08 pm

What do you guys think of Roy Halladay, is he just starting really slow this year or is he in for a bad year? The blue jays are scoring a good bit so hes been okay lately but how will it be later if he continues to give up those runs? what do think of him for the year?

Halladay will be fine. He dominated his last start. He is a stud. Trade for him if you can, if you own him, keep him.

I don't know much about Halladay but I just traded for him. He had some real tough starts earlier this year. I think Yankees and Redsox a couple times?

Yup, he faced New York twice, Boston twice, and Texas twice.

Poor guy.

If I'm right I think he won his last 3 starts. He's gonna have a good year.

The truth on Halladay is he is an excellent pitcher. Earlier this season he said he wasn't getting into a groove. Leaving balls up in the zone..Not having that extra break on his curveball and not having that movement on his fastball. He said he feels like he's settling in more and more with every start.. Plus the fact that he started with matchups like he did.... I see him coming out with 19 wins again 3.00 era decent K's nothing spectacular but definately a solid #2 or #3 guy on your staff. He's a durable guy who I could definately coming through with a solid 9- 10 game win streak with the run support he's gotten lately from the Jays... Bless Vernon Wells. He's the real deal..
