Last year Crawford attempted 74 steals in 152 games or about one sb attempt every two games. It was only slightly less than that with 65 in 151 games in 2003 (43% of games).
This year though he's had 5 attempts in 15 games (33% of the games). This is in spite of the fact that his OBP has been up instead of down.
Anyone watch enough DRays games to say whether it's situational (someone usually on base ahead of him...wrong score/number of outs/etc), a change in management philosophy or something going on with Crawford? I'm counting on him for at least 50 sb's or so and can't afford the DRays to decide that it doesn't make sense to have him running.
