Four to Trade For: Hitters

Postby Arlo on Thu Apr 21, 2005 6:57 am

It's time to go shopping!

From injured outfielders to slumping sluggers to struggling rookie backstops with high upside, there are plenty of players whose owners are starting to get nervous about their stars' lack of production, and plenty of targets for the enterprising trader to target. Here are a couple players who just might be undervalued by their owners ... and therefore available. :-)

I've been trying to get Thome in one of my leagues with no luck so far. :-[

Drafted V-Mart in two leagues though. He really needs to start waking up soon. :-o

Chavez is a huge one that you missed. If you had to keep it at 4, he would certainly be a better choice to trade for than an injured Maggs.

Drafted V-Mart (auto-draft) and traded him for Blaylock before the season started. Whew! :-o (I think) :-?

Agreed, Chavez is definitely an excellent trade target. The four players discussed weren't intended to be a complete list of such players, however - otherwise, the article might be finished sometime around August. :-)

And as far as the comparison with Ordonez goes, it's hard to say which player would be a 'better' choice. With Maggs out of action for the foreseeable future, he might be available for your fantasy batboy right about now...
