good velocity (low to mid 90's), good location with his pitches. all in all he looked pretty good, he just pitched in coors. some of his pitches were up so he got hit a little hard, but he threw strikes which is a good sign.

i wish they'd have let him try to get outta the inning.. but i guess pitch count prevails since he just got back. i thought he was throwin 96 in the minors.. what happened? coors decreased his velocity?
any idea as to what his pitch count will be in start #2 at home vs col?

Sorry RM, had a busy weekend and meant to PM you. I didn't start him, not because I was scared of what would happen so much as that I didn't want to activate him yet. I am still not sure who I'm going to drop to activate him.
I was happy about his game though, didn't seem too bad considering it was Colorado.

I dont know much about Penny... is he going to get hurt again? if healthy who does he compare to tier wise for pitchers...? Im trying to work a trade for him, but im not sure how good/what hes worth.

Penny is a 2nd tier pitcher. Think of Mulder or Pavano but with more K's. IF he stays healthy.

Does it look like he will, or fall onto the DL again? Is he worth the risk?
