Delicate and annoying. The best thing about Nomar being hurt is that we do not have to endure his AB rituals.
In the old days, that kind of garbage would get you one or two under the chin every AB.
How old are you, exactly?

In my day chocolate bars used to cost a nickel! I refuse to pay $1 for them!

Uh, the guy has OCD. In the old days, pitchers hit guys with unavoidable nervous disorders? Really?
It sucks that he is out. At least he wasn't batting .400 at the time and had voluntarily moved himself down the order until he left his funk. Now, a Derek Lee soft muscle tear would be disastrous at the moment.

Unavoidable nervous disorders my a**. According to Nomar, he likes the batting gloves tight. We would see how nervous he was after he took one or two 90+ mph fastballs under his chin. He going to be nervous about the batting gloves or his head getting pelted then? How unavoidable would his little act with the gloves be then? That little act (and it is an act) is done for his own self-promotion and it shows up the pitchers in addition to adding about 15 minutes to every game.

Alright take it the hell easy. This guy has to be the biggest pessimistic person on the face of the Earth. If you get pissed off that much because he tugs on his batting gloves, you're the one with the disorder.

If it was true that in the "old days" Nomar would have been buzzed for batter's box rituals, Jim Sundberg would speak more slurred than Ali right now!

Sundberg was a .245 or so weak hitting C with no power. I am sure that whatever rituals he pulled at the plate were acceptable to opposition pitchers because of that. They probably paid his cab fare to the park.
