How well do people think Ishii will play this year? I havent heard much. He had a great start but a poor finish... will he repeat that pattern?

I plan on drafting him around the 15th round if he is still there. The boy can throw the ball it's just a matter of him getting his stamina up there. Remember when Ichiro came to the MLB? He had to play half games towards the end of his first season because he was so pooped. Of course a half game for ichiro is better than a whole game for most!

I'm not sure fatigue was the only factor involved in Ishii's struggles. Hitters were making adjustments to account for his style after having a chance to study his style, which was at least partially responsible for his second-half struggles. Besides, I'd be wary of any pitcher who allows such a high number of base-runners, no matter what his won-loss record is or where he pitches his home games...

That said, trevisc is right: Ishii can indeed throw the ball and could be excellent if he were able to play up to his potential. Round 15 sounds about right, although he might slip further still if owners shy away from him because of his second-half numbers. He's an interesting sleeper, but proceed with caution.

i like him but i dont like how he doesnt go deep into games, he looked like a legit star in the beginning of the season and took a nose dive, i think he will balance that out this year
