Team going down the drain quick, help!

Postby Quick Nick » Wed Apr 20, 2005 1:49 pm

These guys are getting thier butts handed to them daily & I'm at a loss as what to do with them. At this point I'm open to any ideas! They are 8-11-1 & in 8th place (out of 12) right now, possibly in 10th by the end of the week (H2H matchups). They dont seem that bad, should I just wait it out & cross my fingers? I do have no speed, maybe a base stealer would help??? Maybe offer up some of those closers for another big bat???

I don't think you'll be able to compete until your DL clears out. I'd lay low, but one place you can improve is SP- I'd be WW hunting for good matchups instead of Lackey and V Zambrano as regulars.

Help me out- I just posted authored gabenterprises.

if i were you i'd trade one of your closers(probobly the best three in the game) and maybe one of your excess outfielders(especially once alou returns) and try and pick up a high end catcher, 2b and most importantly a starter. if there is a decent 2b on waivers or free agent list i'd drop utley because he's a platoon player. and Zaun wont do much for you as a catcher. but i think most importantly is try and find some starters. you can probobly trade one of your closers for a high end starter. good luck

You have more than enough talent in the OF, trade one of them (e.g Burrel while he's still hot for a starting pitcher, maybe even throw in a closer if you want another ace).

I agree, trade some pitching for some offensive help. It seems like all your early rounds were used for pitching.

Can you take a look at my team?http://www.fantasybaseballcafe.com/forums/viewtopic.php?t=116619
