A guy who hit's .240 is not underated. Steals are overated. If you are smart you can get them anywhere.

Steals are overrated in real life, but in fantasy they are gold. Boone earned $23 last year. Compare Olerud, who hit 300 at $22.

First, what are your prices based on? Not all leagues have players valued the same. Second I 'd take .300, 22, 102, 85 over .240, 26, 87, 83, 32. I would trade .60 points of avg. for 30 steals.
My theory is that steals are easy to get cheap but avg. isnt. At the end of the draft their are lots of guys who hit .240 but produce. .3oo hitters just aren't around.

Cheap steals late=Vina, Young, Hairston, Kennedy, Womack, Cabrera, Sanders, Finley, patterson, Sanchez, Mondesi

You could say the same thing about power - cheap homeruns. The only thing you won't find alot of is .300 hitters (outside maybe Polanco)

I like Piniero if your staff is weak, he really pitched well last year and hes young...Check him out I expect 15-17 wins outta him with a solid ERA
