So, what does the forum think of this deal?:

AL Ultra Roto 5x5 12 teams

I have a nice balance of keepers going into '03. I especially have a nice start in starting pitching :

Lowe $10
Washburn $9
Appier $13
Ramon Ortiz $11

Urbina $15

I have been offered the following:

Adam Kennedy $10
Ben Broussard $ 4

FOR

Ramon Ortiz $11
Billy Traber $10 Rookie Keeper (does not go against $260 cap)

Kennedy is prety nice at ten bucks, but I have Hairston at a nice price and MI will be somewhat deep at th draft.

I like Broussard as well...and have Hafner as a Rookie Keeper, so he would "cover all my bases " so to speak.

I really like Ortiz, but I usually like to get hitting for pitching and already have a strong staff.

What are the thoughts here?

Billy Traber is the AAA starting pitcher that was traded from the Mets to the Indians in the Roberto Alomar deal. He's a very good prospect with a possibility of being in the Indians rotation at some point this season.

Agreed. True, you're getting some decent players in return, but if MI is deep, Kennedy's price isn't enough reason to deal Ortiz (whose salary is also pretty sweet). Stay with Ortiz and Traber, and hope that Traber pans out.
