I have an abundance of closers in my pool and decided to try to pull off a trade for a nice bat. I offered Lyon to a few guys that are pretty desparate for saves.

I offered one gentlemen Lyon for Andruw Jones. He rejects but counters with ERIC CHAVEZ for my Lyon.

Chavez has started off poorly, but I'm definitely getting a fantastic deal here.

Am I missing something obvious like an injury or something?

if it does argue that espn has said lyon is better than mota (in the rankings) and if a hitting strong team needs a closer, it isn't unheard of for said team to be raked over the coals.

ok, wrong forum (because this is definitely a trade question), but to answer it, your first offer was an insult to the other guy. he justified your insult, however, in his counter-proposal.

i can't believe you took the time to type out this message. take the deal. lyon probably won't even be closer by the all-star break.

haha this is awsome.. good deal... also, i dont know if any of u have ever tried this, but last year i picked up endy chavez then 2 weeks later got someone to trade me lowell for him... that is until they realized that it was endy after they had already accepted!... i guess i was a bit misleading when i said e. chavez....
