We need two catchers per team in a 10 team leauge and Piazza is my other backstop. Buck has been worse than aweful and there's simply not much in the WW. Snyder, Olivo, Matheny, and LaRue is about it. Should I stick with Buck or pick up one of these other below average catchers?

I've got the same problem in one of my yahoo free leagues. I figured he would not hurt me, and there is nothing on the waiver wire to replace him. Ugly stuff.

Phillips, LeCroy, Barajas, Molina (both of them). ...people to look for at this point. It is ugly in 2C leagues if you are stuck with a bottom feeder. I ditched Olivo in one league for Phillips and subbed Lecroy for Barrett. Deep benches at least.

Believe it or not, all of those guys are unavailable, and LeCroy doesn't qualify at catcher in my league. Very pathetic situation. And since free agent pickups are so bad, nobody is willing to trade a catcher right now.

Ouch! You may be approaching the point where you put in a decent sub that plays once a week or so like Flaherty or Mirabelli.

You'd rather have a part time sub than Buck or Snyder? This should be my only offensive hole so the at bats with occasional production appeals to me more than 8 at bats per week. But out of Buck or Snyder, who do you guys prefer?

I said you may be approaching the point...no tthat you have reached it. I would take Snyder over Buck for what it is worth.
