If MLB fines Sheff, can he turn around and sue that fan for the amount of the fine?
I don't see why not. He could tack on Lawyer fees, 'pain and suffering', 'loss of sleep' and even 'nightmares from being hit' he has had to go through over the last week. ;-7

Since I saw the act on tv, can I sue too? Its giving me nightmares of going to a game and being hit by a ball player. :-o

I should've specified I was talking mostly to the Red Sox fans who continue to insist on bringing up the Yankees in a thread that has nothing to do with them.

You right it this thread has nothing to do with Yankee fans....nor does it have to do with ALL Red Sox fans....it has to deal with two bad fans, and how it is a growing problem in MLB.

It has to do with the Red Sox making a nice stand and punishing two guys that deserved punishing. You insist on saying something to the effect of..."Well the Yankees didn't do anything when their fans did this...."

You act like everyones bashing all Sox fans. You're wrong. We're trying to have a civilized discussion about how the Sox were great in the way they handled things, then you bring up the Yankees. This thread isn't about the Yankees. Stop bringing them up in every thread that deals with Boston. :-P
