Wow, this guy has been terrible. Cox and Mazzone weren't happy at all when Kolb struggled through two innings, picking up the possible win. He then blew the win in the 10th by walking the first two hitters and botching 2 bunts. Im beginning to think that Mazzone and Cox will begin to think about a change if he looks like this again.

How do you know Cox and Mazone weren't happy? I mean obviously they aren't, he pitched terribly, but do you have a quote for me? I'm interested in hearing what they had to say.
I really think it will take quite a bit more frustration before they start to think about making an internal change. Sadly enough, their bullpen is centered around Kolb, so I doubt they change that. However, I wouldn't be surprised to see them make a trade for a closer, I personally think Dotel would look pretty good in a Braves uniform and the A's don't exactly need him with Huston pitching so well....and Calero for that matter.
I do not have a quote. The way he has thrown obviously is not going to make management very happy. I do not think the Braves are going to look for a trade or anything of that sort. On the other hand, if Kolb continues to look like he has, I could see something happening on the Brave's closer front. After a few years of a lights out closer such as Smoltz, I see a short leash but its hard to determine since they gave up quite a bit to obtain the guy. Its early in the season, I know, but he has looked 2004 Matt Herges like.

I disagree the braves will probably not trade for a closer they will at worst go BPBC with the young kid they have (cant remember his name throwing darts ya never know he may get the call.
Its too early to tell, but something may need to be done if Kolb pulls a Chacon or Herges 2004 move. Im incredibly interested in hearing what Cox and Mazzone had to say after the game but I cant find anything anywhere on a quote.

I'm not optimistic at all about him finding his form. Lacks an out pitch and seems to be terrible under pressure. I think it's just a matter of time.........
I think the A's are gonna wanna keep Street, kiko and Dotel in their pen to take the load off their young starters. I think there will only be a trade if the A's are conceding.
