ok so there is a friend of mine.. he totally sucks at drafting.. he is very conceited and so forth... but he alwasy seems to have a contending team.... so anyway which of these 2 hitting squads r better (he has just a terrible pitching cause he abaonded them so they r not worth looking at)

2B J. Lugo (TB - 2B,SS)
3B A. Ramírez (ChC - 3B)
SS D. Jeter (NYY - SS)
OF I. Suzuki (Sea - OF)
OF G. Sheffield (NYY - OF)
OF Lu. González (Ari - OF)
Util D. Young (Det - 1B)
Util J. Payton (Bos - OF)

OR

Util J. Uribe (CWS - 2B,3B,SS)
BN P. Feliz (SF - 1B,3B,SS,OF)
BN M. Barrett (ChC - C)
Looks like he made some smart choices. I wouldn't say he's clueless (of course, I don't know in what rounds he took those guys).
But he has a lot of my pre-season favourites to provide a lot more value than you have to give to get them: Jeter, Sheff, Lugo, LuGo, Casey, and Ramon Hernandez. Those are all undervalued players, and I have them all on at least one team, and in most cases more than one. You're team is good too obviously, but I wouldn't be so quick to dismiss this guy. Seems like he knows what he's doing. Except why is he starting Jay Payton over Sean Casey

well, young's hot start would be enough to irk any opposing drafter, but taking guys like luis gonzalez, ramon hernandez, and derek lee doesn't really indicate to me that he's "clueless".
i think both teams are fairly good. 2 has a better IF, 1, has a better OF. i don't really prefer one to the other.

maybe this will help
he took suziki and aramis in the 1st 2 rounds (ichiro is decent but ram in the early 2nd doesnt buy)
and his pitching
SP R. Oswalt (Hou - SP)
SP J. Weaver (LAD - SP)
RP J. Rincón (Min - RP) @
RP M. González (Pit - RP)
P J. Suppan (StL - SP)
P A. Eaton (SD - SP)
BN J. Piñeiro (Sea - SP)
BN B. Lawrence (SD - SP)
DL G. AquinoDL (Ari - RP)
i may sound senile.. but he just isnt a good drafter... my other friends agree. but he just pulls it out
He got Jeter, Sheffield, and Oswalt all after the 2nd round? So one of those guys came in round 5? Maybe you have some other people in the league that don't really know what they're doing
But seriously his team isn't bad. He doesn't have stud pitchers but most experts I've seen absolutely load up on hitting and get scrub pitchers. It works when you can get cheap MR's like Gonzo and Rincon.
You guys might all agree that he's a bad drafter, but I'd say his team looks pretty good. And if he always seems to do well maybe it's more than luck. People in my 18 team league criticize how I value players and I've finished in first place once, and 2nd the other 2 years. All this while the critics finish in the middle or bottom of the standings.
