I have several minor leaguers posted in a thread below that I like but for some reason Baker stands out. I am thinking hard about adding him to my minor league reserve squad. Even if he comes up this year I can't touch him. He is frozen there until next year. Which is good because I can was him without actvating him. What do you think?

Baker has a good chance of being in the bigs this summer,,,, i dont know if i would want him frozen where i could not call him up if he does well, or even trade him for a better bat somewhere to ateam that is looking to rebuild for next year?????

I would rather freeze him and have him retain his minor status then have him come up and maybe go back down. Once they come up we have to activate them if they are not on the froozen list. We can have two players frozen. He would be a first year player next year if he make the rotation instead of a 2nd year player unfrozen. If you understand what I mean. Looking for another to freeze. Any ideas?

Where would he really play? They've got Atkins that will be playing third when he comes back, they've got Ian Stewart to push him which likely moves one of them to the of, where they already have Hawpe and Salazar. At second base, they have Miles already playing, Jason Nyx in the minors, and have Chis Nelson who might wind up there or push Barmes to there.

You're thinking of the wrong Baker. This is the SP for the Twins.

And actually I like Baker more than Durbin. He wasn't so great in AAA, but he started the year in A so maybe he wasn't ready for AAA. He was great in AA though. By next year he should be ready to contribute, although the question is will he have a rotation spot. They have Durbin coming up as well who probably have first priority on a spot.
