Looking for that fith OF and comes down to these 2. Reed looked ready to break out but has started real slow. Taverez is an real ? in that if he ever gets the chance to leadoff watchout.
Which do you think will be better option this season?

Gotta go with Reed ... they project at about the same BA, but Reed has some powwer. While Taveras is probably faster and a better base stealer, he won't get the green light often hitting 8th. And Garner seems to have no interest in moving him up the order. Battting amongst Ichiro, Beltre and Sexson, Reed will score far more runs even if his BA and OBP are lower. Expect him to steal 10-15ish.

The leadoff hitter for HOU is Everett. He's batting near .100 and K's alot this year.
How can the HOU manager not at least try someone else in the leadoff spot? Is there anyone in HOU's lineup that has leadoff experience?
If not, HOU should try Taveras in the leadoff spot. Then his value would increas dramatically.

If Reed continues to hit poorly then Winn might be moved up in the lineup to the #2 spot; where Reed is hitting. That is were Winn hit last year and did well.
