Yeah, but Ripken had to sit two games after hurting himself in a bar, and the O's defrauded the public by sabotaging the lights at Camden Yards for those two games, to keep the bogus streak intact.
Just as bogus as DiMaggio's streak, which was padded by two games where blatant errors mysteriously were scored as hits by the Yankee Stadium scorekeepers.
