In all my leagues I drafted Brian Roberts at 2B. I had a hunch he was gonna be decent. While I never expected what hes doing, especially with power, Do you think he will keep it up or should I trade him while hes hot. Whats your take on him.

Depends on your weakness. Do you NEED anything on your team? That said, I am more apt to trade a hot PITCHER than a hot hitter.

I agree with JDD.

Who else do you have eligible at 2nd base?

What are your weaknesses?

I think Roberts will consistantly have good power for a 2B. His average and SB are risky though. Don't count on him as your only 2B.

i disagree i dont think the power will always be there he might be a 10 to 15 hr hitter tops now SB wise he has the ability to swipe 40 to 50 SB.... i do agree with you on the avg though he might be a .270 hitter when its all said and done

i drafted him in a H2H league solely for his steals

any power numbers he puts are simply a bonus in my eyes

i agree. i think e'll be great this year, but any power he gives you got to be looked at as a bonus. i think his ceiling this year is about 15 30, solid #s.

He stole 22 (81%) of his bases per All-Star last year. It's a gamble to count on him for SB in H2H leagues come playoff time. One worth taking if you don't have to rely on him or generally punt SB.

He consistantly hit doubles last year and in terms of 5 x 5 he isn't a consideration for power at 2B, I wasn't thinking 5 x 5. With the league I am most involved in doubles count and it's a stat I value highly, so Roberts with a better BB:K is quite a late round pick to back up Loretta.
