I had picked him up the day before and then activated him yesterday and it started him with no problem.

I have noticed that if I submit changes and then later in the day go back to the team before the deadline, it will revert to the original lineup and I have to make the change again.

I HAD THE SAME PROBLEM! Well not the same they didnt have the ^ next to his name until this morning! i wouldve moved up a good 6 points with that start!

Yeah, that was annoying. Fortunately some guy on here told us he was definitely going, so i ran with it.

You are not alone with this problem. It happens probably once a week in one of the 6 leagues that I am in (and has for years). I can check and double check my lineups and it will still happen when I go to check during the game or the next day. A few years back I just thought I had forgot to put the guy in the lineup or (like other posters had stated)...I was a day ahead or made a transaction or something that screwed it up. Anymore I do believe it is a Yahoo glitch....I pay to much attention to my team for this to happen 2-3 times already this season.

so it was an impromptu start? and the ^ didn't show up untill the day of? my H2H opponent this week had him benched... i'm not buying the whole "glitch" thing
