Is this some kind of SICK joke?

Postby BostonBK7 » Sat Apr 16, 2005 1:04 am

Ok, I put Derek Lowe in my SP slot this afternoon and rejoiced when I see that he threw a complete game shutout. In the midst of my celebration, I am shocked to see that he is on my BENCH. ????? Please tell me this is a joke or something. I am SURE that I had him starting. Did this happen to anyone else? I don't know if it has anything to do with the fact that Yahoo didn't have Lowe as a probable pitcher for today. I'm confused and angry...someone please explain before I convince myself that I want to quit fantasy baseball right now.

Maybe you didn't hit Save Changes or something?

That's the most logical response from me.

Ah yeah, you didn't hear? This is a new procedure Yahoo is experimenting with. Once a year, the computer will decide to put one of your starting pitchers who's having a good game back on the bench, just to keep things fair ya know? At least you got yours out the way early in the season...

I have done this in the past. I feel like an idiot when it happens, but usually when I do it, it is because I am looking at my roster for a future day like a couple days ahead and I accidently don't go back to that day to make the changes.

Check and see if hes scheduled to pitch for you in a couple days.

I agree. It's probably the computer's fault.

No offense, but there is no such thing as a stupid computer, just a stupid user.

Not saying you're stupid, perhaps you were careless to forget to submit changes, change your lineup for the wrong day, etc.
