3rd stright start on the pine for him. Is he done? McClendon seems insistant on playing Ward nowadays. One of the benchings was vs. Capuano so that one makes sense but sitting vs. righties Glover and Zambrano makes me fear his value is nothing even in NL only leagues.

Anyone have any inside info? Is he banged up at all?

great game for Tike yesterday. Inserted as a pinch-hitter and then Dusty changed pitchers to a lefty and McClendon burned him and pinch-hit a righty for him. Pretty much sums up my point. Hard to belive how much one manager can waiver back and forth. From batting 3rd to not playing at all.

No local Pittsburgh guys with any info? Other than the obvious of he has lost his job and is the 4th, if not 5th outfielder.

It's really a shame how far that franchise has fallen. I know they wanted to improve a good bit this year, since they have the All-Star game next year, and want to have good crowds and be a good team then. But there is nothing on that roster outside of Perez. They are going to be lucky to win 45 games this year. It is a shame really, that new ballpark, a town that knows baseball and has a rich history of it, and they get this sorry excuse for a team.

town that knows baseball

if the town knew that much about baseball they would have demanded that Lloyd be fired a long time ago. He's a complete idiot. He makes terrible decisions during the game and uses a computer to determine his lineup.

Pirates would have been a .500 team if not for him. Was he even ever a good player? Why the love for him in Pitt? They need new blood leading that team in a bad way. :-t

Bull. That team is not capable of playing .500 ball if you had a combination of Casey Stengel, Connie Mack, Walter Alston, Leo Duroucher and John McGraw managing them. If it was my choice he would not be there, but the talent of the players on that team is not great enough to play .500 ball.

So the town decided whether a manager gets fired or stays?

The town knows it's stuff, the management doesn't.

If you have watched any Pittsburgh games then yes....the city no doubt knows more than the management in Pittsburgh.

That team has had the talent to be .500. Late game decisions involving taking pitchers out the game with nobody on and 2 O counts just because at that exact moment in time he reached his pitch count!!!!! Give me a break.

He is the most idiotic manager I have ever seen manage.

And the GM is just as idiotic. They're on the verge of putting a true playoff contender together and instead decide to piss off the players that are going to get them there by low balling their contract offers.

The argument they have not had the talent is bs and is why everyone is giving this loser of a manager a free pass to suck.

and suck and suck and suck :-P

Where is all this talent? Please tell the players on this team that are good enough to carry a team to a .500 season and explain why they are not starting, since they sure ain't the starting players.
