he's still available on many FA lists, but i was wondering what he's likely to do this season because he will move down to the 9 hole when jeter comes back. Is Brad Wilkerson a better choice than Nick Johnson??? or maybe Jose Guillen?

i think he meant johnson would see better pitches to hit with soriano behind him. anyway, i don't think he will fall that far in the order because he is just too godd of a hitter.

He will be in the nine hole. There are a ton of guys on the Yankees who are "just too good of a hitter." I think his overall value falls just a bit, his RBIs go a bit up and his avg goes a bit down. Soriano's RBIs will go up with Johnson getting on base in front of him (as opposed to Almonte or E. Wilson).

i think his rbi's will go up but i think he'll maintain very good runs and average.
i think the protection of soriano & jeter behind him will keep the steady diet of fastballs coming his way which is nice b/c i have soriano who can start knocking him in.

nope, i hear that the dept of immigration has found out that he is indeed not a legitimate citizen of the USA and as such he will be deported shortly.
shrug, i dunno. .280/20-30/75-90 if he's in the lineup all year? i dont think he'll be a stud, but he won't hurt your team if you've got a hole to plug.

Nick Johnson will miss four-to-six weeks with a stress fracture in his right hand.
Disappointing. Johnson was producing like an All-Star, but he might not get back to that level after returning, and it's looking like wrist and hand injuries could plague him throughout his career. Manager Joe Torre said Todd Zeile and Bubba Trammell will share the DH role while Johnson is out, so both make nice pickups in AL-only leagues. Trammell is the better hitter, but Zeile likely will play more initially, especially since Jason Giambi's injury is limiting him to DH duties right now and Trammell can't play first. It doesn't appear that Juan Rivera is a candidate to be recalled. The Yankees plan to add another pitcher when Johnson is place on the DL. <br>-Rotoworld
