I think you have to make him go through with it just to learn his lesson.
A few years ago, I got home from a long binge and a buddy from my fantasy football league called me. We talked about a trade. I verbally agreed. The next day I regreted it and asked him to let me off the hook (it was not offered and accepted- all verbal). He said no, which sucked, but it was absolutely his right to do so. So he got T.O. for some scrub RB I can't even remember. And I got a good lesson in NEVER TRADING (or even talking trades) after drinking.
If the trading partner is willing to let him off, fine. If not, tough luck. Don't be a dumbass next time.
No way let him off, no matter what the trade is. He proposed it. Unless he contacted you minutes later to say he hit the wrong button cuz he was drunk, his problem not yours.
If I was the accepting owner and this trade was taken back, I'd just about run from this league unless there is huge $$$ involved.
I'd say the trade stands. His own fault for getting too drunk to make a decision he can stand by.
Yes doctor, I am sick. Sick of those who are spineless. Sick of those who feel self-entitled. Sick of those who are hypocrites. Yes doctor, an army is forming. Yes doctor, there will be a war. Yes doctor, there will be blood.....
This should not be put to a league vote. Owners should have had the opportunity to veto this trade already. It really isn't as lopsided as it sounds.
Don't do the crime, if you can't do the time (ask Robert Blake aka "Barreta")
A situation like this should be resolved like any other trade. Just ignore the TUI. Is the trade so unfair that it should be vetoed? If yes, then veto. If no, the let it go through.
