Yes and yes.

He won't get you 10 k's very often; last year, he only had 40 in 69 ip. Also remember that he was pitching against the Marlins. But yes, I think he's worth picking up if you can afford to drop someone, especially in keeper leagues. In terms of talent, I'd put him on a level with Bud Smith, for instance.

But if I remember your team correctly, then you're stacked in terms of starting pitching anyway, so there's probably no need to grab him in your particular situation.

I think Duckworth is even better than expected. Sure he's a youngster and might have his ups and downs, but he'll be worth your patience.

If you have room and can take a flyer on him then I say go for it.
