The Mariners had a 5 run lead at the time so it's not like it was THAT important, but unless it was serious you'd expect him to play through it usually. Then again... it's the Royals.
Wow I couldn't disagree more.
Huh? I didn't really make a statement, I was just saying that if I made that much I'd take a day off if my back hurt. I don't know how you couldn't disagree more with that, it's not like I'm blaming Beltre for becoming Juan Gone. You act like it's such a shocking statement I made

I was wondering about that too. What do you disagree with - that LBJ would slack if he made more money, that there was a 5 run lead at the time, or that it was against the Royals?

Maybe he was disagreeing by saying that
he would not slack if his boss gave him that much money.

This is not the same thing! His problems before were not back related! there is NO PAIN like BACK PAIN! comming from someone who has back problems i can tell you that even a pinched nerve back there will take your breath away! when something spasims or goes wrong back there you have no choice but to leave! so the `Tightness` they are refering too is prob along those lines. He will be fine once is subsides!

To somewhat defend and agree with LBJackal....If I had a player making 3 million a year get hurt I might want him to play through it a little more than if I had a player making 14 million. I would rather lose him for 10 games while he works it out than hurt it more and lose my 14 million dollar investment for 3 months.
Also I am really mad because I have him and ARAM, and they are both banged up....

From TSN:
April 14, 3:13 p.m. Adrian Beltre, 3B (rank: 2) - Mariners
Beltre left the Mariners' Thursday matinee at Kansas City before batting in the top of the fourth inning because of a back injury. Scott Spiezio pinch-hit for him in the No. 3 slot and took over at third base. Manager Mike Hargrove said he expected him to be ready for Friday's game vs. the White Sox.
Fantasy Source spin: We'll keep an eye on this, but for now, this is not something you should worry about.

I don't understand. SO what? He had pain and he left one game. Is he 'weak' because he did this? Should he have played through the pain and risked injury? How people can comment on it is beyond me when we don't know the whole story.
