So much for his much ballyhooed contract.

The guy is 0 for 10 this season, and has missed a bunch of games due to 'viral infection' so far.

Hope he gets better soon for the Tigers sake.

I'm not even sure that any injury besides one related to his knee injury is covered in the contract. :-o

Sheesh, we haven't even played a tenth of the season yet. I'm going to wait at least until the All-Star Break before proclaiming him the next Jason Giambi.

I agree with CM. It's not like his hitting skills have diminished in what? 2 years?

interesting Giambi-itis huh, very possible. I'm a huge Mags fan so it sucks to say it but it could be, I still think alot of these cats are off the juice = low homer totals (Thome, Helton, Manny) i may be wrong , but i may be right, Maybe kids like Guillen & Roberts are on juice or maybe they never were so no dropoff.

back to Mags it is very similar to Giambi, we wil have to wait & see , im thinking of trying to buy low

What's the going rate for him? I havn't tried trading for him, but I remember from last season everybody wanted too much. I suppose his value has sunk like a stone after leaving Chicago and dealing with all the injuries, though. At best I'd think he'd be good for 30 - 300 over a full healthy season in Comerica. With the health issues... he's a #3 OFer. I guess he'd be a good buy-low candidate if his owners would take some peanuts for him.

OK just checked the Cafe Challenge and Big L took him in the 8th round... too pricey for me.
