Penny vs. Morris
Sounds like both are ready to go.

Good read, thanks Pogo! I've never heard someone describe a shoulder surgery as a "pruning" though :-?

sounds like penny is ready. not so sure about morris

Like Penny, Morris was making his last rehab start before resuming his big-league career. Morris' command of his sinker and curve ball was encouraging. He was throwing his fastball consistently in the high 80s.

Next month the Cardinals will play the Dodgers in a four-game series at Busch Stadium. If Morris and Penny should duel again then, they'll know they're not in Roger Dean anymore.

I hate when reporters try to end their story like some SI wrap up emotional column like this.

They will know they aren't there? Really?? Ya think??? They must be reallll friggin perceptive....
