I saw this stat in an article and I thought it was interesting.

ERA's at the end of April for the last three American League Cy Young Award winners:
2004: Johan Santana -- 5.40
2003: Roy Halladay -- 4.91
2002: Barry Zito -- 4.81

That would mean that Mike Mussina is a good candidate - 4.91 so far.

Santana...4.50 ERA

Halladay...4.85ERA

Looks they they are the front runners again.

you laugh, in a 12 team league, starting 7SPs I just picked him up -- his era would be even lower if they had pulled him sooner (idiots)
