he started off slow last year as well hitting only .246 in april and then hit .300 the next three months. same thing with hafner (although he blew up the first couple games and then cooled off for the rest of april and then got hot ) . hell be just fine. im actullay trying to trade for him now.
I've watched a few games he's played in this year. Pitchers have been pitching around him, but he's been swinging at the crap they throw to him. I suspect he will come around and still be the best fantasy catcher by far as the season goes on.

I flippin' hope so. He's the only person on my team holding down my batting average. They all point and laugh. It's sad, really.

I also remember him starting off really slow last yr, so much so, that I traded for piazza as a backup, just to end up having piazza ride the bench starting around the beginning of May.
Not too much longer and you'll be happy he's on your team
Just kidding...Pujols is struggling a bit too, are you gonna drop him. Obviously V-Mart is not in the same category as Pujols, but give him some time. You can trade him now, but you won't get value for him, so just sit tight and wait for the hits to start rolling in. What I would recommend doing is picking up a catcher that is relatively hot right now and play him until Victor come around. I have Estrada as my back up for Martinez and he is doing fine for me until.....

The difference is Pujols has a 3 year track record, Martinez doesn't. I purposely stayed away from Martinez this year, I need another good year from a player to risk a top 5 round pick on him. He very well may heat up and be worth that pick, but I think people were a little high on him this year. He really had slumps last year, he started off slow, played well then finished really slow.
