Got the save today for az. any one know if this is simply melvin giving lyon the day off or what?

Lyon could've extended my lead in saves this year with my set of closers:

Eddie Guardado
Danny Graves
Miguel Batista
Yhency Brazoban
Brandon Lyon

Bet nobody in my league saw THAT coming!! Hahaha....

Knowing nothing about the situation other that what yahoo tells me I would say yes it was just to give Lyon rest since he had thrown 3 days in a row and 4 out of 5.

He had pitched 3 days in a row and 6 out of the last 7 I believe. He's still the closer, don't overreact. ;-)
