Just doing some planning -- and I should know the answer to this, but don't.
Can someone give me a ballpark estimate as to how many SBs you typically need to be competitive (meaning in the top 3-4) in a 12-team 5x5.
Thanks.

we actually broke down the categories on our league over the last 4 years. For us the swipe leader was usually at 150, which was overkill...getting over 100 would give you plenty of points, 130 would secure second or third.

For my calculations 140 would usually win in a 12 team league. So you'd probably want 120 or so.
