he'll pitch some games like he did last night, and then completely bomb in others. there is no way to pick which ones though, so i won't be touching him this year.
He's walking a fine line between being really good.. and being really crappy. He never walks anybody, but if he doesn't locate things perfectly and avoid the big hits, he'll suffer big time. I don't think I'd want him on my fantasy team with that potential to have a game that could cripple your ERA.
"Jack, will you call me, if you're able?"
"I've got your phone number written, in the back of my Bible."
Towers is the 5th best (when Lilly returns) starter fantasy-wise on the Toronto Blue Jays. That should be all you need to know. The guys you should be looking at are Bush and Chacin.
What is not to like with a 3 - 1 record, 25 K's to 2 walks, and a 3.57 era? He's coming off 2 wins including shutting down the Juggernaught Orioles in his last outing. With his 2 start week coming up, this may be the time to take a chance on him. Low walk counts is the first sign of a young pitcher turning things around.
