does anyone know if it is the same dimensions as the montreal stadium was? and if not can you compare it ? is it similar, or if it is considered a pitchers ballpark or a hitters ballpark or in between.

i'm not sure about the dimensions but I've read that it will be more pitcher-friendly then the Montreal/San Juan combo that the team had to play with last year. Supposedly those 2 parks added up to a significant advantage for hitters. RFK is definitely not a bandbox.

Here are the dimensions, from Ballparks.com:

RFK: Left field: 335 ft.; left-center: 385 ft.; center field: 410 ft.; right-center: 385 ft.; right field: 335 ft.

Olympic: Foul lines: 325; power alleys: 375; center field: 404

And Hiram Bithorn was about 15 feet smaller than Olympic in every dimension. Not sure what average stadium dimensions are in the majors, but RFK is definitely more pitcher-friendly. I'll hopefully be able to give a first-person description in the next few weeks. ;-D
