He is not pitching well at all, get lit up again tonight, like he has in all his appearences.

Is it time to give up on him getting traded anytime soon & purge our rosters of this guy who is only hurting your ratios....

Yeah I think everybody remember the 2003 Urbina. Not the one that took the start of 2004 off, had a bad half season, then missed the end of 2004... then had all the troubles with his mom being kidnapped. This guy's been through a lot and baseball has seemed to be his second priority since that WS win. Not that I blame him, but all the talk of teams needing a closer turning to him... it seems like they're remembering the Urbina from 2 years ago.

BTW his Yahoo pic doesn't look like him at all, to me anyway. I picture a skinnier guy with a scowl, and that little beard thing.

i kicked him to the curb this morning. i'd rather take my chances with Tsao, i think that's the name, in colorado then wait for him to get any chances. with the way he is pitching...no one will touch him in a trade.

I think Ugeth is fantasy death unless he lands a closer job. He walks too many hitters even when he has his good stuff. And I haven't seen him with his good stuff in Detroit. He did have more speed on his fastball tonight, up to 93 MPH. So I guess he's throwing faster balls.

Wait him out for another week. Just stash him on your bench if he's really hurting you.

He will come around, and if he does get traded his value skies. He thrives in a closer role and he might be pulling a Vince Carter in order to get traded.

I'm with Mooch.

The road to Fantasy Hell is paved with has-been closers who are on top of the world one year and can't find the plate the next (Koch, Alfonseca, Mike Williams, Kim, MacDougal, Williamson, Sasaki, Mantei ...) I'd say Urbina is well on his way to joining that group.

I'm a Tiger fan and have been watching Urbina pitch for more than a year. He does not instill confidence.

I don't think the Mets are stupid enough to trade for him.

At best, if he gets to close, he is Jose Mesa.

My guess is that Farnsworth will be closing in Detroit next year. Just a hunch.
