A lot of people loved this guy for his eligibility this year, but he's off to a slow start and is hitting 8th in the order. Anyone still like him to hit 20+ HR this year?
How does he rank with other Middle infielders like:
Uribe
Cantu
Barmes

Well he'll get better and he may even hit 25 HR's, but he's batting 8th in the lineup and unless that changes his stats won't look very good. There is also a chance he only hits in the 240-260 range.

Cuddyer will be ok .. players get off to bad starts...Dont drop him yet, but if you can get Cantu on F/A Wire go for it, but keep Cuddyer.

Gang...we are 6 games in...take a chill pill. Cuddyer will be a GREAT beach player on your squad. 275 avg / 60 R / 15 HR / 60 RBI / 10 SB. If you are using him as a starter you are in trouble.

I don't think Cuddyer can get any worse, so he will have to get better as nothing stays the same.

Ive pretty much given up on Cuddyer becoming a great hitter in this league and at most he'll be an average everyday regular. He may still have value if he keeps his second base eligibility.

He hit an HR last night.
I would still take over any of those guys. At least he has proved over 2 seasons that he can hit at the big league level, which is more than I can say for Barmes or Cantu. As for Uribe, he is hitting even further down the order then Cuddyer and with guys like Crede hitting in front of him and Podesnik behind him, which will kill run production.

Yeah, I'll second the because-he's-htting-.192-right-now-he-has-to-improve. While it isn't a ringing endorsement, Gammons went ape over Cuddyer as did a lot of people after his AAA season in
Edmonton. He hit big in AA the season before as well. There is potential there, somewhere.
