Fossum and Z Day vs Batista and Appier ?

I feel like Mike Price, picking up hot prospects(Foppert, Chacon,etc)
and have been whip(ed) and seen my era crash. I am inclined to
go with mediocre vets vs rooks. Current sps are K Wood, Hudson,
K Wells, Buehrle(ugh), Day and Fossuem. Best of the available
as FA's are Appier and Batista. Should I drop Day or Casey for
one of the available ? The good news is my bats are great !

Forget Batista, he's gone. Any thoughts ?

Day and Fossum are solid options. Don't pick up Appier until he has a least one good outing.
