I don't think they'll make him the closer or setup man, he's going to be a starting pitcher becuase he throws 4 pitches. He's in the bullpen to work on his control which has been lacking. They are taking the Santana route with him.

Im debating picking this guy up in a 14 team mixed league. 3 outings isnt much, but ive heard his stuff is nasty. Any news or thoughts on this guy? Is he worth anything in deeper leagues?

No way he closes, but he might get vulture wins. He looks be be a long-innings middle reliever who might pitch 2 or 3 innings to get a win every so often. Worth an addition in a large league setting.

Its either him or betancourt. I have yet to see either throw. Just ordered MLB Extra innings so it shouldnt be long before i see how both throw. i love having dominating middle relief on my team, i have an open roster spot and already have jrincon/mgonzalez. Im really looking hard at De La Rosa...

Nelson? Yeah he's great, not too imposing on the mound, but I hear he has a nasty changeup

I'd take Betancourt over De La Rosa ;-) ;-D
